Synthesis and Anti-Denaturation Activity of Some Substituted Quinazolinone Analogs
In recent years there is a tremendous increase of inflammatory cases, leading to the design and development of newer anti-inflammatory agents. The reaction of 2-substituted phenyl-3-chloroacetamido quinazolin-4(3H)-ones with various 5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiol and 5-(pyridine-4-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2thiol gave N-(4-Oxo-2-substituted phenylquinazolin-3(4H)-yl)-2-[(5-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-...

A series of 3-[2'-(Substitutedbenzylideneamino)phenyl]-2-methyl-6-substituted quinazolin-4-ones (5-10), 3-[2'-(3(″)-chloro-2(″)-oxo-4(″)-substitutedphenylazetidin-1(″)-yl)phenyl]-2-methyl-6-substitutedquinazolin-4-ones (11-16), and 3-[2'-(2(″)-substitutedphenyl-4(″)-oxo-1(″),3(″)-thiazolidin-3(″)-yl)phentl]-2-methyl-6-substitutedquinazolin-4-ones (17-22) have been synthesized in the present stu...
متن کاملSynthesis and anti-angiogenic activity of cortistatin analogs.
Analogs of cortistatins, a series of anti-angiogenic compounds isolated from the Indonesian marine sponge Cortisium simplex, were synthesized from estrone by using the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction as the key step. The estrone-isoquinoline hybridized compound showed selective inhibitory activity against the proliferation and VEGF-induced migration of HUVEC.
متن کاملAnti-leishmanial activity of alkaloidal extract from Aspidosperma ramiflorum.
Infections due to protozoa of the genus Leishmania are a major worldwide health problem, with high endemicity in developing countries. The drugs of choice for the treatment of leishmaniasis are the pentavalent antimonials (SbV), which present renal and cardiac toxicity. Besides, the precise chemical structure and mechanism of action of these drugs are unknown up to date. In order to find new dr...
متن کاملBiological Activity of Coumarin Derivatives as Anti-Leishmanial Agents
Cutaneous leishmaniasis affects nearly 0.7 to 1.3 million people annually. Treatment of this disease is difficult due to lack of appropriate medication and the growing problem of drug resistance. Natural compounds such as coumarins serve as complementary therapeutic agents in addition to the current treatment modalities. In this study, we have performed an in-silico screening of the coumarin de...
